Juggling Act!
Morning, lovelies! Do you hear the circus music in the background? Today be cah-razy!!! Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday. Baby Boy is still struggling with tummy issues. My poor little man. I thought he was better but the daycare told me he was not himself yesterday. As soon as I got him in the car, he threw up. And he did again this morning. I'm pretty worried. After speaking with the pediatrician's office, I do feel better. There is a virus going around. I need to keep him hydrated so we'll be working on that. The Lover is home with him now. Again. What a great Baba! Hopefully Big Boy won't catch the virus. We've been trying to keep them apart but it's been hard. They just want to play and it's so darn cute! Baby Boy is still in good spirits though. What a trooper.
This is an oatmeal and hot tea kind of morning. My chocolate mint tea is to die for. Seriously. I've been using coffee filters to make my tea. Put the tea leaves in, twist it into a ball and drop it into hot water. No leaves to pick out of your teeth!
My oatmeal contained:
a little bit more than 1/2 cup of oatmeal
1 cup water
1.5 teaspoons brown sugar
cinnamon
5 chopped almonds
splash of almond milk
2 teaspoons coconut
1 teaspoon flax
1 sliced banana
I totally missed my run yesterday and I'm not certain what today will be like. I'm trying not to freak out about my training schedule being off. The good thing is that I do have some flexibility since the half-marathon is 2.5 months away. That leaves some wiggle room to push my training back a week. Calm down, Retta!
I did hear "Fancy" this morning on the radio. Yes, I was just "twang-ing" away with Reba! Hmmm . . . I may have to do a little research and see if I can find the video. :0)
What do you do when you miss a work out due to unforseen circumstances? Do you freak out like me?
I've missed over two weeks of workouts due to my sprained back and it's driving me crazy! I'm finally able to bend, sit, and stand for long periods without pain so hopefully I'll get on the treadmill this weekend and get in some workouts. THEN it's back to the gym w/my fitness trainer. Working on getting fit & healthy, so having a two weeks of barely NO fitness is making me crazy.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! That is a fantastic idea to put your tea leaves in a coffee filter, I'm going to try it today! I wouldn't worry about missing your workout. In the grand scheme of things, it won't change anything. I love your blog so far! Have a wonderful day
I've been happily married to my husband for six years and am a mother to two wonderful boys.
When I turned 30, I had an epiphany: Quit complaining about how you feel and look. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
That is also when my love affair with running began. I am in the process of training for a half-marathon. My ultimate goal is to participate in a full marathon by the end of 2010.
